Valentine Moose

My friend and I have come up with an adorable layout using the Hanna Stamps Riley stamps for Valentine's cards. And to think we may even be able to send them out by February 1st! I just love this Riley - and I'm getting the knack of coloring them with my Copics. The couch is paper pieced using a piece of paper with the Canvas background stamped onto it. Colors are pink pirouette, riding hood red, and chocolate chip. Love it!
I bought a neat tree to try and make some Valentine's cards with so hopefully in the next couple days I'll have those to share as well!

Baby Shower Gifts

A dear friend from college had a baby shower on Saturday. I was so excited to hear that she was pregnant - and she's waiting to find out the sex of the baby. So, this is the gender "neutral" blanket I made her. It's super cute! And in going with my resolution to start "signing" my quilts, I added a label to the back. She really appreciated it (that's her with her quilt!)!

And here's the card that I made her as well...this is using the Hanna Stamp baby set and some DCWV baby nursery paper. Love those pads!

So not really...

The card I thought I'd share is one that really doesn't apply to Texas (at least not today)...it's in the 70s, but another "cold front" is on it's way. Gotta love the weather here! And speaking of - found out today that the "baby" has RSV AGAIN! I didn't think he acted, nor sounded, right -and to be honest, I never thought about RSV. Hopefully he'll stay ok - but you worry nonetheless!

So - the card - Ready, Set, Snow - I'll dedicate it to all my northern friends and family. We're far from snow today, but technically it's still winter! This is actually a set from the Cats Pajamas...I bought there Christmas sets this year and had fun playing with them.

A New Year and a resolution!

I'm not a fan of resolutions, but I've realized how far off track I've gotten during the past couple months. And not updating my blog is on that list of "get back to's..." I made so many Christmas cards but didn't share nearly any of them! But...I will try to do better now that we're settling back into "normality."

Here's a card I made for hannah's friends. I love all things Bella, and have been dying to ink this one up! I used my copics...(no, didn't get the mega set for Christmas, but maybe my birthday!). And some liquid pearl to give it all a little more dimension. I pulled out some of my basic grey 6x6 pads (another resolution is to use what I have!!!!). And I'm sure I pulled this sketch from Splitcoast or somewhere but I didn't write it down!

Thanks for looking, and as I said, I'll update regularly from now on!!!

New Computer

I got a new computer for christmas (actually, so that the kids can have a dedicated computer for their CoolSchool computer, I get a new one!)...so I'm just now getting to loading the pictures onto my new computer. I've also loaded Creative Memories Storybook Plus - for digital scrapbooking. Very interesting - and fun! Just wish there was more time to play!

I thought I'd share another Christmas card I've come up with - love this stamp I picked up at a LSS, and I added liquid pearls on the rooftop and stickles on the trees! I used the felt ribbon from SU! Love it all!
I'll try to get back to posting regularly - especially with all the Christmas stuff to share!

Cold Nose, Warm Heart

OK...so it's only two days until Thanksgiving, of which I'm having the family and friends here at my home, and the "baby" seems to be running a temperature of 102 tonight. Oh oh - not another round again! Hopefully it's nothing...but he's grumpy which makes me grumpy!

Anyways, here's a card a used with my new Cat's Pajamas stamps (their Christmas stamps are the first ones I've bought and I love them!). It's simple, but nice!

I picked up the snowflake cuttlebug folder the other day and have used it a ton! It just adds that little something! And the snowflakes are "buttons" that I popped off the backs of.

Thanks for looking!

Gone but working hard

I haven't been posting - not sure why but I've been getting a lot done. I can't believe how quickly the holidays come! I'm not ready - as that's no surprise! I've been making a bunch of different Christmas cards - I'm loving the stamps out this year. I bought a bunch from The Cat's Pajamas, along with others here and there! So I'll try to update daily to show off what I've made so far!
These are some of the Riley ones from hanna stamps! Who can go wrong with a moose?! I used liquid applique to make the snow real - gotta love that stuff!
