Thanks for a great month!

Today is my last "official" Thursday Treehouse challenge from my guest designing assignment for the month of May. What fun it was! I am getting more comfortable playing with digital images (I think!), and it's always fun to play with different challenges that inspire you in different ways.

This week's Thursday's challenge was no different - the theme was "summer/beach" fun. I saw the sketch for MOJO Monday, and decided it was time I attempted to make a circle card. It really is a neat sized card, and I have to make it again...I'd like to figure out how make it bigger, although the smaller size allows it to fit in a regular sized envelope.

Anyways, I used the beautiful Aloha set from Treehouse Stamps (go get yours now at www.treehousestamps.com). Such beautiful images...the paper is from Stampin'Up and is so vibrant. I love it - and can't believe I hadn't used it before!

So what do you think?! Make sure to play along each Thursday, and check out the Treehouse blog for tons of great inspiration www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com I can't believe my month is already over, but what fun it was, and thanks to all the Treehouse ladies for their kind words and inspiration!

School's Out for Summer!

That song keeps stickin in my head...and yes, it is out for summer. I'm so glad to have my kids around all day but I also know it will be a looooonnnnngggggg summer. I think I will venture out to our community pool today - five kids, one a baby, by myself - hopefully it will work out ok. The kids love to swim and with this heat, it's about all you can do!

Anyways, I wanted to share a card using the June contest image from Treehouse Stamps. Visit www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com and play along and you too could be a guest designer for Treehouse Stamps. Here's my card...

Happy Tuesday!

Treehouse Thursday Challenge

Another Thursday which means another Treehouse challenge. I can't believe it's my third challenge already this month as guest designer. A few days ago I'd have said that it's sad that the month is almost over, BUT...a little surprise - they asked me to become a full time designer. YEAH! I'm very excited to get to work with all the wonderful ladies and Treehouse Stamps. Stay tuned, in a couple days I'll post the very first cards I made with Treehouse stamps (it was so long ago I need to see if I even took pictures of them back then : )

Anyways, this week's challenge is a sketch challenge. And I can admit now that I had used this sketch by mistake for a challenge a few weeks ago. Needless to say, I loved the sketch so I made a new card for today...

And the card I made a few weeks ago, using the same sketch!

Thanks for looking and make sure to check out all the great images at www.treehousestamps.com. See the other great inspiration at www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com

Another Thursday, which means a Treehouse Stamps Challenge

I'm really liking this "guest designer" spot - it's fun to have an "assignment" each week, although it's more just a direction for my mojo rather than homework. It's Thursday so that means Treehouse Stamps Thursday challenge! And this week was a color challenge - pink, sky blue, brown, and cream. My goal for this card was to make it NOT baby-ish, which is what I normally think of when I see that color combo! So...without further ado...here's my card using the Summer Doodles set just released. So many fun options with this set - LOVE IT!

Although it's a little difficult to see, I colored, and cut, and popped it up so there's lots of dimension to the card. I used stickles on the flower to make it "sparkle." It was hard to photograph but trust me when I say the colors are gorgeous. I also used the sketch from the May 6th challenge. And don't you love love love the font?!

Be sure to check out the Treehouse store www.treehousestamps.com as well as their blog www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com for great stamps and inspiration!

Have a fabulous Thursday!

SFYTT and MFT

It's just in time, but I did Jen Del Muro's SFYTT from this week, which is made extra fun as there is a MFT prize to go along with it. Check out her post at http://iheart2stamp.com/2010/05/08/sketch-for-you-to-try-38/. I had until today at noon to get it submitted, so I feel accomplished as I've washed floors AND finished the card. It's the little things...

Anyways, here's my card. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Pure Innocence stamps. I also made a square card, which I rarely do although I do like the size! I used some new paper that I absolutely love too - October Afternoon's Thrift Shop, Needs Paint.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous Friday!

Treehouse Thursday Challenge

Today is my first "official" challenge for Treehouse Stamps - www.treehousestamps.com. Can I just say it was so fun to make an example showing off their wonderful stamps. I haven't done much with digital stamps, so it was also something new for me.

The challenge this week was "Masculine Theme." I immediately thought ahead to Father's Day...and the set just released "Life's Little Moments" was perfect! Since I didn't get a chance to play along with last week's Thursday Sketch Challenge, I combined that sketch (which I loved) with the masculine theme. Here are two cards I made - both with the same image/sketch, just different papers and orientation. The papers are from Pink Paislee's Amber Road Collection.

Be sure to check out the Treehouse Blog for more inspiration www.treehousestamps.blogspot.com And let me know how you like my first official guest designer assignment.
