This Week's Treehouse Challenge

It's Thursday again and I didn't get all the cards posted that I wanted. Maybe I'll do a mass post tomorrow! Thanks to all who played along last week! Remember that Ashley is doing a random.org winner each week. Check out the Treehouse Blog!

Anyways, Thursday means Treehouse Thursday Challenge and this week's challenge THT069is to use the Grid Technique (found on Splitcoast). This really is a great technique to add something to your card, even if you don't have all the fancy cardmaking tools! Here's my card using the soon to be released set "Peace On Earth."

Of course there are a few rules to play along:
1. You must use the challenge as described
2. You must provide a link to your creation on the challenge post inLinks
3. You creation must be a new one, remember the idea is to get your creative ideas flowing and get you creating.
4. You do not have to use TREEHOUSE STAMPS images to be eligible for the drawing but if you have them we would sure love to see you use them.
5. Your entry must be linked in the inLinks no later than next Wednesday to be eligible for the drawing.

Be sure to link your project, and I can't wait to see what ya'll come up with! And be sure to check out the rest of the design team - I guarantee you'll find the perfect gift for your teacher!

Sneak Peek Time!!!!

I thought that I had better get some of my cards up...I'm trying to get the "out of the bag" wrinkles out of my kids' Halloween costumes by steaming them in the bathroom...so I'm waiting to see if magic happens and I have a few minutes to post! By the way - everyone knows I do a themed costume with my kids. I made the "mistake" of sending/making cards when my daughter had her first Halloween, and now it's expected. I enjoy it though - and what a perfect photo opportunity with all of my "treats!" Stay tuned for those pics!

Anyways, Treehouse Stamps is having a release on October 1st. And what fun digital images! I've been playing with them a lot these past nights, and thought I'd show you one I made using the upcoming "Chugga Choo Choo" set. I love the sentiments and versatility of this set - Christmas, birthday, new baby, endless! And I also did something new this time - a Z-fold card. It is actually pretty fun, and a simple way to show off a stamp like this. Here are a few views...both closed, and open. And don't you love my new paper?!

Thanks for stopping by and I've got lots of more fun stuff to show - think Christmas!!!

Teacher Challenge

WOW is all I can say. This week was my turn to "host" the Treehouse Thursday Challenge THT068, and being I have five kiddos, four in school, I'm always wanting good home-made gifts for teachers. So my challenge this week was "anything for a teacher." And the Design Team came up with some "WOW" projects (that's what my daughter's teacher last year always wrote - "WOW" work!). Thanks to all who played along last week. Remember that Ashley is doing a random.org drawing for all who participate. I can't wait to see what projects you come up with!

Here's my project...I used the My Favorite Things Apple Basket Template. The apples are filled with chocolate candies for the teacher. I used the "Back to School" set from Treehouse Stamps (a must have in my book!), and made a small card that can be used as a bookmark!

Always by my side...

I've been having the kind of weeks that make me realize what awesome friends I have that are always by my side. You know who you are, and I thank you...you've made it bearable!

So it's another Thursday already - if you can believe that! It's been crazy busy with school schedules but I'm glad I sat down to play this week's TREEHOUSE THURSDAY CHALLENGE! This week's challenge is to SPONGE A BACKGROUND...THT067. And remember that Ashley is doing a random.org drawing for one lucky participant. Of course, there are a few rules:

I used the set Little Tweety from Treehouse Stamps...so cute. And I also used Jen Del Muro's SFYTT for this card. I didn't get a real good picture of it so when editing, I added the "60s effect" which actually made the card look pretty neat!

Another Thursday - RECYCLE

Today is Thursday, and you know what that means - Treehouse Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge is to RECYCLE...THT066 and is hosted by our talented Virginia. And remember that Ashley is doing a random.org drawing for one lucky participant. Of course, there are a few rules:

So here's my project. We've been hit with lots of tropical storm rains and tornados and my pictures never did the project justice. I used all scrappy paper, twigs from outside, popcorn, and an old flower pot!

Happy Release Day to Treehouse Stamps

Wow - can you believe it's time again to say "Happy Release Day" for Treehouse Stamps. Once again, Ashley has come up with some awesome new digital images.

Here's another sample that I made for today using the Bountiful Blessings set, along with a sentiment from Fall Blessings (I just love this saying!).
