Some more quilts

I know - I'm showing a lot of my sewing stuff! But that's what I've gotten done lately! I'm itching to get back to cards and scrapbooking so maybe as I settle into our new routine I'll get my crafty schedule back on track.

Anyways - here are two of the Dick & Jane quilts I finished up. I love the backing - it's the actual dick & jane narratives...love it! I tied the quilts and they turned out wonderfully. Oh - and I'm done basting my quilts - I've done a handful of them "on the hoop," and am even doing a large quilt 'hand-quilted' with this same method - looks tons better than any basting job already!

And as promised, a couple pictures from Joseph's first day of preschool. He LOVES it - as I knew he would. He is such a personable, free spirit with a beautiful personality. And if you know Joseph - you know he loves to make faces for the camera. Now if this picture doesn't make you smile....

And here's on of him making all his new friends - he loves to talk about his friends, and he looks like he's taking center stage here.

thanks for looking!

Another "first day"

Today is Joseph's first day of 3K (Preschool). I was worried because he had talked about not wanting to go to school, but he was very excited this morning to go. He woke up at 6am asking if it was time yet. I'm a little lost with only 2 babies here - what am I to do? HA! I'm anxious to hear how his day went. I'll share his pictures a little later.

Anyways, I'm still playing catch up from my vacation, and my husband has been digging in around the house and starting a million little projects that mean I have to clean up after. But I still have lots to show on the sewing side of things...here are a couple different bags I made.
The first is a messenger bag - it's real roomy and great for those who don't want a backpack!
The second is a cute little handbag/wristbag.
And finally are the charm tote bags. These are super cute and I get compliments all the time with these. All were sold almost immediately but I can always make more!

Thanks for looking!

I'm back!!!

Well, I've been back for a few days now and I am trying to get back into my "routine" and back to my creating. I did get a lot of sewing done while on vacation - and luckily I had a lot of luck "selling" my stuff to my mom's coworkers. I sold a ton of my purses/bags and a couple Dick & Jane quilts. I figured I'd show you the different Amy Butler "Frenchy Bags" I made - this is one of my all time favorite purses and patterns. I found lots of fun material to try! And I sold all of these but one. WOW! Makes it fun to play with the material but not get a ton of the same thing in my "bin."

On another note, Hannah had her first day of kindergarten today. She had just a half day but she was so excited, and had so much fun! She said she can't wait to get back tomorrow. I can't believe my little girl is starting the long adventure of education! Here are a few "first day of school" pictures to share.
